THE CIMIC FOR THE ORPHANS OF DJBOUTI

Djibouti.

In recent weeks, at the pouponnière orphanage "Daryel", the donation ceremony of 40 baby’s chairs took place, in the presence of the Commander of the BMIS (Italian Military Support Base), Col. Michele Chiedi. The event, which involved the facility's management staff, represented by the Director of the orphanage, Mrs Safia Mahamoud Hadhi, took place in accordance with the directives of the Djibouti Ministry of Health on social distances. During the ceremony, the director thanked all the Italian Contingent and especially the Multinational CIMIC Group operators, for their closeness and interest in the structure and all the vulnerable groups in Djiboutian territory. In addition, she stressed the importance of the dedicated support for the "Daryel" orphanage, both in the past and, in particular, in this difficult period when the general attention of the Government, International and Non-Governmental organizations, is mainly aimed at the attempt to combat the pandemic spread from COVID-19, forgiving, unfortunately, other needs and structures, such as that in support to vulnerable groups, specifically orphans present in the facility.
