Multinational cooperation continues in the sectors of education and training for CIMIC operators
Fort Bragg (USA), 27 July 2019.
From 21 to 27 July 2019, a delegation of the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) of Motta di Livenza, led by the Commander, Colonel Luca Vitali, visited the base of the Civil Affairs of the United States Army in Fort Bragg, in North Carolina.
The visit is framed in the context of cooperation relations between the two countries (Italy and the United States) aimed at exchanging experiences with the allied nations and NATO partners to improve the quality of their respective training offers.
In this regard, the excellent collaboration with the Special Warfare Center and the School of Fort Bragg plays a very important role in enriching and enhancing the doctrinal contents of both units with the possibility of discussing the lessons learned and the best practices identified in the years.
During the visit, the MNCG officers had the opportunity to participate in the "Sluss Tiller" exercise, a training activity conducted by the 83rd Civil Affairs Battalion, and to visit the training areas dedicated to these activities. Furthermore, the delegation met with relevant representatives in the field of civil-military cooperation with the aim of increasing the level of interoperability between NATO CIMIC and Civil Affairs, such as the Commander of the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade, the Deputy CA Commandant, the Special Warfare Training Group Commander and representatives of USACAPOC (US Civil Affair Psychological Operation Command).
The activity contributes to raising the excellent relations between the two organizations and encouraging the exchange of experiences gained in the various operational theaters in which Italian and American soldiers operate.
