Lieutenant Colonel Lucia Locatelli received the rank directly from the MNCG Commander
Motta di Livenza, July 21st, 2021.
On 20 July 2021, following the Executive Decree of the Italian Ministry of Defense proclamation, Major Lucia Locatelli received the Lieutenant Colonel rank at the Mario Fiore barracks in Motta di Livenza, becoming the first female officer in history of the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG), in that career position.
The ceremony of awarding, which took place in full compliance with the containment prescriptions for Covid-19 pandemic, was chaired by the Commander of the MNCG, Colonel Mattia Zuzzi, who awarded the Officer with the new rank. A milestone that has its roots in the past when, in 2000, the first women had the opportunity to participate in public competitions to join the Italian Army. Lieutenant Colonel Lucia Locatelli entered the Military Academy of Modena in October of that year and, after intense training and studies, was promoted Lieutenant on 1st September 2002.
Congratulations for your important achievement Lucia from the whole CIMIC family!
